Engagement models, team structure & pricing

Most agency pages dodge the two questions a buyer actually has: how does this work, and what does it cost. This page answers both as directly as we can before a call, so by the time we talk you already know whether we're a fit.

From Promising Demo

How a team is structured

You get senior engineers doing the actual work, not a senior name over junior delivery. Every engagement has a clear engagement lead who is your single point of accountability. The team is sized to the work, and it scales down when the work is done rather than padding the bill. Throughout, the code, the architecture, and the knowledge stay yours, and we transfer capability so your team is stronger when we step back.

The three ways we engage

Every engagement is one of three shapes. We'll recommend the one that fits your situation, not the one that bills the most.

Staff augmentation

You have a team and a plan and need senior engineers to move faster. We embed individuals into your team, working in your process and tools. You direct the work; we bring the people. Best when you know exactly what to build and need capacity.

Managed pod

A small, dedicated team (engineers plus an engagement lead) that owns a defined scope end to end. We run delivery; you set direction and priorities. Best when you want an outcome owned rather than just extra hands.

Project-based

A fixed scope with a defined deliverable and timeline. Best for a well-specified, bounded piece of work where everyone agrees up front exactly what "done" looks like.

What a first engagement looks like

It starts with a scoping conversation, not a contract. We work out what you're trying to achieve, what's in the way, and which engagement model fits. We come back with a clear scope, timeline, and price. Then we start small, ship something real fast, and expand from proof. If it's not working, you're not locked in.

How pricing works

We don't publish a fixed rate card, because honest pricing depends on scope, seniority, and engagement shape. But here's how it's set, so there are no surprises.

Model How it's priced Good fit for
Staff augmentation Monthly, per embedded engineer Known plan, need senior capacity
Managed pod Monthly, per dedicated team Owned outcome, evolving scope
Project-based Fixed price against a defined scope Bounded, well-specified deliverable
Whatever the model, we scope the first engagement small enough that you see real output before you commit to more. You shouldn't have to bet big to find out if we're good.

Built for procurement and security

We know a real engagement has to clear procurement and security, especially in healthcare and other regulated spaces. We bring our security posture and documentation early so we don't stall your timeline, and as an AWS Partner we work in an environment your teams already trust.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't you just publish prices?

Because a single rate would be misleading. A senior platform engineer for three months and a fixed-scope project are different shapes with different costs. We'll give you a real number fast once we know the scope.

How small can a first engagement be?

Small enough to prove value without a big commitment. That's the point: see the work before you scale it.

Do we own what you build?

Yes. Code, architecture, and knowledge are yours, and capability transfer is part of how we work.

Can you work inside our process and tools?

Yes, that's the default for staff augmentation and common across all models. We embed into how you already work.
